When I create a story I paint it with words
A colorful injection of nouns and verbs
But it's not until I start to write
Whether it be with pen or electric type
The tale unfolds with a life of it's own
And even to me the plot's unknown
Excitement prevails
My creative juices flow
From out of the depths of my mind
The literary winds blow
A birth of a new born
The first step with one word
Adolescent growing pains
Scrambling eagerly to be heard
Words are a gift of imagination's jubilee
Writing embossed for all eternity

I'm impressed. My son writes poetry too, but his is so morose that I don't even want to read them. I don't know where he gets it from, because my husband and I are upbeat, joking type people. | |||
